FIRE RESTRICTION LIFTED

EFFECTIVE 10:00 NOVEMBER 01, 2024

As a result of the recent weather conditions the fire restriction for the County of Stettler is lifted effective 10:00 November 01, 2024

Regular fire permit conditions will apply going forward. Please consider the following:

NEW PERMITS will be issued by contacting the County of Stettler No. 6 office during regular office hours;

  • Permit period is limited to 14 days;
  • Permit holder is responsible for the safe control of the burning;
  • Wind conditions must be less than 10km per hour;
  • Minimum of one responsible adult present at burn site;
  • All brush piles burned during the winter month must be buried at the conclusion of the burning and covered with soil to ensure the fire cannot re-ignite;
  • Consideration must be given to neighbors’ to avoid discomfort as a result of burning

Conditions will be monitored. We will update the public on any changes.
