Next Election

Our next municipal election will be on Monday, October 20th, 2025.

Submit your Notice of Intent

All potential candidates must complete the Notice of Intent form. Candidates who plan to run can only accept campaign contributions and incur campaign expenses once their notice of intent is complete and they are added to the Register of Candidates.

Nomination Process

Once a potential candidate has submitted their notice of intent, they may begin the nomination process.


Here are some important dates to consider:

  • Nomination period ends at 12 noon on: Monday, September 22, 2025.
  • Election signs permitted on public property.
  • Election day is on Monday, October 20th, 2025 from 10am to 8pm.

Register to Vote!

All voters must be on the permanent Electors Registry. Registering in advance for the  Permanent Electors Register will ensure your voting experience is faster and easier.

Go to voterlink.ab.ca to register to vote or confirm your information is correct. If you are not registered before August 15, 2025, electors will be required to complete registration at a voting station prior to receiving a ballot.

Village Nomination Information

Nominations open on January 1, 2025. The municipal office is closed on this day.  Candidates can file their nomination papers from January 1, 2025 until 12 noon on September 22, 2025.

A Candidate Nomination Package has been prepared with general information for anybody looking to run for Village Council. Also, the package contains the forms needed to submit a nomination.

Term of Office

The Mayor and two Councillors serve a four year term. This term begins at the first meeting of Council after the election and continues until the first meeting of Council after the next election, unless their offices are vacated sooner.
